The United Services Organizations (USO) is the way Americans support their troops. A private, nonprofit organization since its
founding in 1941, the USO provides morale, welfare and recreation services to military personnel and their families.
The USO is committed to improving the quality of life of service men and women and their families. Whether at a USO center where a soldier on rest and recuperation (R&R) gets a warm welcome home, or at a deployment site where USO Volunteers send our troops off with support, gratitude, and, of course, good old-fashion "Southern Hospitality."

The past few years changed the lives of all Americans. The USO needed to find new and more efficient ways to ensure that we kept pace with the increased demands for our programs and services. As thousands of troops deployed and families came to the USO for help, our employees and volunteers in the U.S. and overseas proved once again - just as we have over the past 67 years - that the USO was up to the task.
The USO currently operates centers at more than 130 locations in the world, with more than 25,000 volunteers. Programs and services include: free Internet and email access, libraries and reading rooms, housing assistance, support groups, game rooms, nursery facilities and celebrity entertainment.
USO services directly benefits the outstanding members of the U.S. military who serve with dedication, skill and pride, defending the freedoms we cherish and often take for granted. And with your help, USO will do so.
