Georgia has one of the largest military populations, as it is home to major installations of all branches of the service. USO of Georgia through its facilities and services provides assistance to:
Military personnel and families heading for overseas duty.
Troops deploying and redeploying on military charters.
Transient military personnel and families.
National Guard and Reserves on rotation for duty
Military personnel and families temporarily located in the community.
Young enlistees reporting to USO from Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) from across the world to await bus transportation to basic training sites at Fort Benning and Fort Jackson.
Graduates and AIT students from Fort Gordon, Fort Rucker and Fort Benning basic training installations. Military personnel “PCSing” and going “TDY” to Marine Logistics Base in Albany, GA., Valdosta Air Force Base, and Fort Stewart.
